Weeraketiya Central College - Past Pupils Friendship Association – Colombo Chapter has organized a fund raising campaign to help for undergoing surgery of Mr Weerasoorira who was a teacher at the school 1972-1977. Mr Weerasooriya got his early retirement recently due to his sickness. During the August 2007 he is ready to go for a surgery to replace his knee bones as recommended by his doctors. More >>>

"DRINKING WATER PROJECT AT THE SCHOOL"

Providing an overhead water tank to quench the thirst of students at the time of pipe borne water shortage, bringing memories of our sufferings for water, four, five decades ago.   In this project we gratefully remember Mr. Brian Khalefeldt,  an Australian Philanthropist whose services were engaged by one of our eminent old boys and former Sri Lanka ’s Consul General in Australia Mr Sumanasena Abeywarna.
